on shooting the moon and making adjustments

There are nights when the wolves are silent and only the moon howls.  ~George Carlin, Brain Droppings, 1997

i figured today would be a good day to learn to do a few more things on this new-to-me site.  i must say, i am enjoying the fact that i don't have to resize pics!

it is pretty cool to have a kitten.  of course, having an old  cockatiel as well means that we do have to make some adjustments - though so far Krystel Moon (the kitty) has not caused us a moment's worry, as far as Homey the cockatiel goes.

since my days consist of being in and out of the house to tend to the chickens once in a while, Homey now gets to come with me when i do that.  he loves to hang out with the gang in Chicken Central, and seems to have convinced himself that he is a member of the Silkie family.  it is very sweet to watch him socialize with them, and the Silkies don't seem to mind him being there.

i managed to take a few pics of last night's Blue Moon.  it was a rather unfortunate time to realize that the camera tripod is no longer serviceable, though.  oh well........i guess we aren't the only ones who are old and tired!  still, i managed to take a couple of really nice pics with my Sony CyberShot.

i am happy to have my Chocolate Zen Garden back again.  funny, when we all moved over to Blogster, i somehow knew that name was not right for that place. it does feel right to have it here, though.

last night was a bit restless for all of us. but then, the first night of the full moon usually is.

i'm still trying to figure out how to add videos......but all in good time.

wishing everyone a wonderful Wednesday.  Namaste.

  2. Hi Deb...............videos ae quite easy, I only know how to post videos from youtube because I don't have videos of my own. To post from youtube, its almost the same as it was on Multiply. I do it this way;
    go to youtube and select video, go to share and then embed. highlight and copy the code, go back to the blog draft here, paste the code where you want the video to go, go to top left tabs marked compose and html. It will be on 'compose' but change it to hmtl and then, when you go back to compose you wont be able to se the code, but thats ok because when you publish the blog the video will be inthe right place. Ummm ..........hope you understand this it sounds a bit muddled written down but its easy to do.. really :-)

  4. I know I told you I missed the moon for all the rain and clouds we had here, but at least I get to see you photos.
    Krystel looks so comphy on her chair and it's a good thing you are taking Homey with you on the trips to chicken central. Actually I think Krystel would get the worst of it if they got together right now and we wouldn't want to see that happen.
    Hope your week, has gone well.

    1. yes, it's been really nice to have a kitty added to the family. Krystel does not seem keen to be outside at all - which is just as well, because i've already told her that she is an indoor kitty now. so far, she and Homey are just fine with each other, very respectful of personal space.
